Learning Activities

  1. The teacher explains the introduction of Cohesive Devices (PowerPoint).
  2. The teacher invites the students to identify the Cohesive Devices in the article text.
  3. The teacher invites the students to categorize the purposes of Cohesive Devices in the article text.
  4. The teacher asks the students to create a poster in A3 paper using Cohesive Devices.

I use this lesson plan to taught Cohesive Devices and Integrated Reading for freshmen at university in English Language class (they are English Language Education and English Primary Education students). There are 31 students in total. The time allocated was 90 minutes.
