✽ Responses ✽

Feel free to be flexible with the order of responses and/or repeat them several times.
Have your assistant change diapers or take children to bathroom as needed.

✧ LET’S PRAY ✧

Sing
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Hear, O hear us when we pray.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Hear, O hear us when we pray.

Have children repeat prayer line by line:

✧ LET’S SING ✧

Adore means “to worship and love.” Let’s say adore together. Do you love God? Then you “adore” God. Let’s “adore” Jesus like the shepherds did!

✧ LET’S MEMORIZE ✧

The Bible tells us what the angels said:

“Glory to God” means
Praise to God: God, you are wonderful because you sent Jesus.
Thank you, God: Thank you for keeping your promise to send Jesus.
God did it all: All good things are a gift from you, God.

✧ FIRST CATECHISM ✧

✧ LET’S MOVE ✧

Form a circle by holding hands. Drop hands. Face each other. Say slowly:

Riding on a donkey,
Up and down, up and down,
Bend knees up and down
Going to Bethlehem.

Looking for a place to stay,
In and out, in and out,
Hold hands, slowly walk in and out of center of circle
No place in Bethlehem.

The baby’s born where animals live,
Not so nice, not so nice,
Shake head “no”
A barn in Bethlehem.

The baby is Mary’s own boy,
What a joy! What a joy!
Clap hands 4 times
Born in Bethlehem.

Shepherds came to see God’s Son,
Bowed to him, bowed to him,
Bow head twice
King of Bethlehem.

✧ LET’S TALK AND HAVE SNACK ✧

Before eating, sing
Thanks to Jesus we will sing,
For He gives us ev’rything.

Encourage cleanliness, courtesy and waiting to eat until after praying. Small cups half full will prevent BIG spills!
